We were asked by the local authority to carry out enter and view visits to observe and gather feedback from staff and residents at a number of care homes in B&NES.
Recommendations
Make sure all cabinets with confidential material and medication are locked when not being used or supervised
Check the temperature of residents’ dinner plates
Make sure all staff members are wearing identification
Make sure all visitors sign in
